Ehh.. Whatever. At least it would be search engine fodder. And it does provide for some consolation that users are not alone in their thoughts about how lame iTunes has become.

Exactly - I mean, the thread is called "Am I the only one to HATE the new iTunes?!" ... It is not a help me with iTunes thread, it's a venting thread. It won't die because iTunes actually is hated by a lot of people.

I've had to go through some much backwards nonsense while intalling iTunes 11. It nearly ruined my computer at one point, and forced me to go on a huge admistration check to make all the files register properly.
I don't care how many updates you say I need Apple; I'm not doing them anymore.
Until you somehow install the technology to make iTunes dispense crispy M&M's, I'm not doing it. I prefer my computer when it's actually working.
Just keep whatever you have, people. Forget this nonsense, and act like nothing is there.

If its make you feel better iTunes 11 is the same in Mac. But i downgrade to iTunes 10. I will stay with 10 and never trust Apple again. Instead i wait, soon it will come a competitor to iTunes from another company.
Btw. it semes that the same guys that did iTunes 11 also did the new ios7 for iPhone. What a mess.

Keith-g2 is totally right.
If you search Goggles for iTunes problems you end up here at Apples forum. It was good for me and i think a lot of people with iTunes problem now know that they are not alone. That not solve the problem but at least it feels better.

It's totally alright for us to adapt the new Itunes 11 to its new inferior ways of manage and playing our music library. BUT we don't need to do that when Itunes 10.7 clearly is a much better program.
I've talked to a few people and they said they're consider moving away from Iphones due to the new IOS 7. So Apple should try to improve its products and now step backward

The only way to change anything within Apple is a drop of their sales. And that will be the case when the shareholders start to loose money, first they will fire Tim Cook. But until then and until a new CEO has rolled the ship over we are talking maybee 2-3 years, it will be to late to most of us.
We are humans and just do what is best for ourselves at the moment. So for me, i dowgraded to iTunes 10 and said buy buy to my iPhone 4S and brought a Samsung. Not the same as an iPhone but so close i can stand it.

Not many things I hate in life, but this "upgrade" is definitely one of them! As I type this, I'm holding back the tears of frustration and disappointment of what iTunes 11 has caused me. I have thousands of songs, and hundreds of them missing, most purchased from iTunes but according to their records, I never purchased them....WHAT!!!??? The UI stinks like rotten fish, the cover art is all screwed up, my library is a total mess and I don't have THAT much time in world to correct hundreds of songs. Why iTunes? WHYYYYYY?????

Couldnt agree more ....here's what I've posted ...wouldnt it be nice to get a nice helpful reply from someone in the Apple Ivory Towers ....
itunes artwork: now its there..now its not! I know I'm far from the only person with this problem but there doesnt appear to be an easy sensible way to fix without going into individual albums (thats not going to happen in this case as its completely impractible)
This has been really frustrating for a long time now and I cannot find any tangible or effective fixes. Apple should have fixed this bug ages ago and why they have not is really disappointing.
Here the problem, and I wonder is anyone can help: I have built up a large library (around 9,000 albums or so) most ripped from my collection or items I have been working on. I then get the artowrk loaded in via 'get artwork' and/or actually locating the individual album covers over the years. The collection is fun and all was working well until Apple did their 'upgrades' a few years ago ....
1. When songs are copied to iphone or ipad much of the artwork does not transfer and if it does its not for all songs..weird that one as previously there was not an issue. The artwork is clearly in the original file however if looking at it under older verion of itunes on a seperate mac.
2. I have the library on a seperate offboard disk and when using older itunes version it see's all of the artwork in itunes. When using that same library on my new macbook with latest itunes it now does not 'see' that artwork and I cannot work out why. This is really frustrsting as the artwork is clearly there when using the older version of itunes.
3. because of above problem I ran my itunes on the older mac with older itunes ....however now I've 'upgraded' the iphone to ios7 is doesnt let me transfer music accross to my iphone! whats with that? and oh my! I wish I had not 'upgraded' !
So frustrating is this that pen had to go to paper so to speak....
Here is my rant to the New Yorker and I'm sure I am not the only one that feels this way....
Steve Jobs would be turning in his grave seeing what these idiots have done with IOS7 and itunes.
IOS7 just makes the iphone look like an android phone and had I wanted one of those I would have purchased one a long time ago. The class that apple had is disappearing fast with these rather seemingly futile 'upgrades'
Whoever has 'redesigned' itunes use on the iphone (not to mention itunes on the mac... removing the album artwork slider was a bit of an own goal..why?) has clearly lost the plot as far as anyone seriously into playing albums and loving their music. Such a shame as itunes was actually rather good before ....
Classic case of a development team trying to 'improve' what was actually quite nice and changing things just for the sake of changing then ...vanity perhaps.
As for Apple not 'fixing' the 'missing' artwork problems that appeared a few years ago ...nothing short of appalling.
Apple - Get your act together and help rather than hinder...
And if anyone knows of an app that 'fixes' these problems or lets us revert to a useful itunes look and functionality let us know...
If theres a good sensible working answer for these questions Im sure it would help a lot of people....

The new iTunes became beautiful, as for the functionality - well, nothing! If you have a music library consists of 10-15 singers, yes, it`s ok, but I have about 14,000 tracks with a bunch of artists and here full hemorrhagic thing begins. Functionality was cut badly, info column can only be displayed in Safe Mode Songs. Moving the Library is very uncomfortable, if you change into a different section of music and going back, iTunes loses the position and shows the first album. In general, I agree completely with the theme of the post.
And about the update - we would like to get improving of design, functionality and stability, not the circumcision of features and a fundamental change of the conception.
