Q: iOS 7 keep turned off my iCloud settings and asking my password

Hi,

I upgrade to iOS 7 the day before yesterday. Everything's fine until yesterday's morning. When I received a text message, I found it's shown under the tel number, rather than names from my contact list. Then I found all my setting in iCloud were turned off. I turned them on, and everything's fine after that. But today, it turned off all my settings again and stars to keep asking me sign-in my iCloud account. I checked my iCloud account settings, it seems correct for me. I can correctly get all the informations from iCloud. But it just keep asking my passwords...

Any ideas about this?

Thanks very much in advance,

Got the same problem on my 4S, I have another iPhone 4, an iPad 3 but havent run into this problem on those devices, just only the 4S. Keep getting annoyed password pop-ups everyday, iCloud turned off quietly, iCloud backup and even  the Find my iPhone too, that's great. Activation Lock is **** with that service turned to off unintentionally.

If you turned off Find my iPhone yourself, you'll receive an email from Apple server notify about that operation, but if it got turned off with the bug, you'll get no email.

I tried to restore my iPhone to iOS7 from DFU twice, first time was a Restore from a backup once and the second time, I selected Start as a new phone but the problem persists on both cases.

Apple need to fix this soon or I'll go back to iOS 6.

Again but in the notification screen it said:

    Verify iCloud Password

iCloud Backup requires that you verify your password.

    I'm desperate .... Idea folks???

This started happening on my iPad 2 today.  I'm randomly getting prompted to verify my iCloud password over and over again.  I tried going into the iCloud Account settings and re-entering my password, but that didn't help.

I also notice the Find my phone setting got turned off as well.  I manually turned that back on and it seems to have stuck.

I upgraded to iOS 7 when it came out on the 20th and never saw this problem until today.

Forgot to mention it happens anytime an app tries to save to or read from document and data.  My iPad has been doing nightly backups without issue.

Has anyone tried deleting the iCloud account off your device and adding it back on?

Well I decided to take the only option short of a full restore.  I deleted the iCloud account from my iPad 2 and chose to remove everything when prompted. I then restarted the iPad.  When it came back up I did a hard reset (hold down power and home until the Apple logo appears).  I then signed into iCloud again.

So far, it seems okay.  I tried all the iCloud features short of doing a backup (I did check and my existing backup is still there) and every thing was restored and so far I haven't gotten the password prompt, even when running Apple's Trailers app which stores it's data in iCloud.  I was getting the prompt every few minutes before doing this, so that's a good sign. I didn't try the one app that I ran which seemed to trigger the problem in the first place though.

I tried deleting and readding my account a few times already, didnt help for me.

HawkUser and Morac, like I said before. I think the only hope we have of getting this fixed is calling apple customer service to make them aware of it. The guy I talked to said that I was the first case of this problem he has heard of.

I did tell him to look at the discussion forums though, but unless they have a few people with the same problem to troubleshoot with I doubt they will be able to patch it.

Call their toll free number 1-800-275-7723

I've been trying to reach the specific advisor that I've been talking to but havent been able to reach him since yesterday. I'll be trying again on monday.

In the mean time, let me know if you guys make any progress. I havent been able to pin point what exactly triggers it. It seems to be very random with me. Sometimes it'll be fine for 2 days, other times it will turn off 2-3 times the same day.... And I have not been getting the password prompts since my last restore

    iPhone 4S 64gb, ios7 update.

I have the same issue I'm being asked 4-5 times a day for my apple password for iCloud verification, surely if you enter it once then it's verified?!?

I'm pretty sure there's a bug in iOS 7 which triggers this problem.  I actually had the same problem back in an early version of iOS 6 and fixed it the same way.

I know you said deleting your iCloud account off your device didn't fix it, but did you try what I did, which was:

    1. Delete iCloud account

    2. Restart phone.

    3. Do a hard reset (hold power and home until device restarts and Apple logo appears).

    4. Sign into iCloud account.

I happen to look at my log files and there were all kinds of "locked" errors when I was getting the prompts. They seemed to go away after I did the steps above.  They might return at some point, I don't know.  I do know turning off Documents & Data didn't fix the problem.

I had started getting the error after an app that stores data in iCloud crashed, so it's possible it didn't release whatever iOS uses to allow apps to talk to iCloud, which would be a bug.  I've found iOS 7 to be very buggy, especially on the iPhone 5S which springboard crashes frequently.  It might take a few major releases to fix them all.

iCloud got turned off today for no reasons, no password pop-ups. I tried turned off Background App refresh but no use.

    Really annoyed.

I'll try that. And yes, I agree, IOS 7 is very buggy. I also noticed today that the ipod controls on my lock screen dont seem to respond. Not sure if it was a one time thing or not.

Going to be calling apple back first thing tommorow to keep troubleshooting

I got the prompt once again today shortly after turning airplane mode on after having turned it off.  I'm thinking it has to do more with a communication problem with iCloud then actually being an issue with the password.   I'm still not sure why only my iPad 2 has seen this problem.
