Cannot send mail in Outlook

I have made no changes and receive this message:  "The server for account "Mac" returned the error "5.7.8" Bad username or password (authentication failed)".  Your username/password or security settings my be incorrect.


When I enter UN and PW it does not work, yet these are my same details and allow me to work via iCloud on iPad and iPhone.  Any help much appreciated.  I have tried and retried, reboot etc.  thanks

Mac OS X (10.7.3)
