I found that by going to Background App Refresh and deselecting the feature or at least the unnecessary apps helped the batter life. Also deselecting apps in Notification Center was helpful. Hope that helps

It is horrible ! my wife is kicking and screaming because I convinced her to upgrade to IOS 7 and happens to be that she just doesn't like the os but I have a major issue with the battery, I have closed all location services period ! turned off my wi-fi completely, not using my bluetooth at all, basically turned every option that makes it a smartphone and still I am only able to get 3.5 hours on a 100% charged battery to phone going dead. If I put it on airplane mode then It seems to be ok. That tells me that there is still some setting that i have not turned off that is draining my battery. The phone does get warm when it is off the airplane mode. I have turned off the background app refresh, all location services, all notifications, all of the so far posted recommended fixes but no result, apple can not hold our devices hostage like this. Need a fix ASAP !.

The iPhone battery life will level out in a few days.

I had to recharge mine 3 times the day I upgraded to iOS 7

Now, I can run, play, and work all day (with wifi on) and the battery has returned to the normal life I've seen in iOS 6.

The iPhone kindof learns some power management based on usage patterns and location. Each iterative iOS update seems to reset all of that. I know it seems weird, but give it a bit more time, you'll see a difference.

Have you updated to iOS 7.0.2 yet? (it fixes some of the lag)
