Q: iTunes lists every episode of a podcast. Can't delete cloud listing.

Since downloading iTunes 11.1.0.126, when I display my podcasts in a LIST, it displays every episode from that podcast I'm subscribed to. With the option to redownload it.

This is terrible, because most podcasts have hundreds of old episodes. The majority of which I'd like to clear of my screen and never listen again.

But now I can't simply hit DELETE on my keyboard.

Help. Thanks.

JonahFalcon, I believe you are right... I listen to podcasts only on my iMac and iPod Classic. Neither of them have that app. I refused to use my iphone as an entertainment center. I use it for calls and the web and that is it. I like having phone that is still charged by the end of the day. And until they make an iPod touch with 160gb HD I am sticking to the ipod classic.

Not easy if there is no option listed to hide music in the cloud.

That option won't appear if Edit > Preferences > Store > Show iTunes In the Cloud purchases is unchecked. As to the old podcasts being listed patience and feedback should get that sorted out.

I have the same problem and I have looked on every menu I can find. There seems no way to hide the cloud information in itunes 11.1.0.126 when using a playlist. I use Win 7.

The only instructions I can find to delete podcasts in the cloud is to sign up for iMatch. And some people have found other bugs with that  - like deleting the library when syncingwith their phone.   Luckily I do not use my phone for podcasts and video casts.

What away to waste a weekend. I wish they would release as Beta first and let us test it beffore they push these new versions out to an unsuspecting world. Some of us depend on the way we organize  the input and deletion of information.

The options are there.Changing them only made the unwanted download problem worse as the pause all button stopped working.   Sigh.

Unfortunately My Podcasts loses the playlists. I built my playlists so I could use them!   And you still have the files. I don't have space for an infinite number of vodcasts. I also have a tight data cap from SuddenLink. I'vehad to just turn off itunes and use VLC instead. Ugh.

But the file is still there. So check the space on your hard drive.

Same here. I'm ready to tear my hair out by the roots. Geez.  I have about 10 GB I can't get rid of... it has been downloaded multiple times. Suddenlink is going to get rich off this Apple "feature".

I filed several feedbacks on this problem several days ago. No responses and the problem is still there. Did they fire the guy who knows how to fix this???

As turingtest2 indicated, you are just going to have to be patient. When they get it sorted, a fix will be released. Not sure why they would be taking up any space. They should be in iTunes in the Cloud - not on your device or computer.

Just a thought -- the artwork also disappeared from my music. Not as serious a problem as the podcast problems but still, it shows a flaw in the cloud connection programming. Sometimes the itunes store has the artwork but sometimes I have old and some unusual classical albums and the artwork is just gone though it exists elsewhere on the web and on some of  the original CDs. There is no easy way to tell which albums have artwork available in the iTunes store and which do not. There seems no way to get artwork that isn't in the itunes store. As Microsoft says, Apple isn't pretty anymore. :<  Tim Cook does not seem to have his priorities on properly. I really had better things to do this weekend and resent losing that time over some poorly tested software.

I am NOT going to go back and reload hundreds of CDs just to get the artwork back.(If, indeed, it can come back).

Patience... they've had a week to fix this.

A rollback to the previous software would be acceptable.

This version of itunes should have been beta tested before rollout. These are not small problems.
