Welcome to the Apple Community.
What sort of videos are these, are you connected to a home theatre system/receiver/amplifier.

So it doesn't seem like it's specific videos, not could it be delay processing audio through another device. Have you tried restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for a 30 seconds.MacPro 3.33 Ghz, 16 Gb RAM, Mac OS X (10.7.1), Apple TV 1, Apple TV 2.

Try turning off all post processing on the TV.
It delays the video siganl.
With cheaper brands like Vizio, the processor on the TV cannt handle it well, and the software isn;t very good at delaying the audio to match the video.

I discovered that if I retart the unit things are back in sync. It seems to me to be an issue of time the unit is running. It gets progressively worse.
Someone suggested that changing the screen saver helped them. I am going to try that and will post the result.
I am suprised that no one at apple has the same problem and that they have not fixed it yet. This has been a problem for me for months.
If I worked at apple I would be wokring on the problem every day I went into work. They must not use thier own proucts for extended periods of time. I thought it was just me but seems to be a common posting here and elsewhere.
I experience this with netflix, hulu, and my personal videos.

It is an issue of time the unit is running and the time it sleeps. I am shocked that this has been discussed on Apple's website and they haven't addressed the issue. Surely they must know about it and must have experienced it for those who work for the company and use the product for extended periods of time at home. I am very disappointed in this product and the company int he case of Apple TV. I own about 7 Apple products and Apple TV is really not that great. The only reason to own one is for mirroring the iPad. I bought a Roku for my Dad because I did not want to subject him to the substandard quality of Apple TV.
I am tired of constantly restarting the unit to get the lips back in sync with the audio. This happens on Netflix and Hulu.

Are you still having this issue? I have been battling it for about a month now. I have a call scheduled with Apple later today, and I will post results.
