Sep 27, 2013 4:28 PM in response to Goal1234by aschmoldt1,This isn't working for me. My e-mail works fine from my iPhone and iPad, but not from my iMac running Outlook 2011. Everytime I try to send mail, I get prompted for my password and then it doesn't go through. I can receive mail fine.

Sep 27, 2013 4:35 PM in response to Goal1234by felicia99,This didn't work for me either. I also have e-mail working fine on me iPhone and iPad to send and receive. On my desktop PC running Outlook 2010 the messages just sit in the Outbook and I have a send / receive error. I can receive emails on my PC in Outlook.

Sep 28, 2013 2:23 AM in response to b_chevyby R Adam B,Thank you b_chevy. That has worked for me. Using Outlook 2010 on a PC.
Unbelievable that Apple could have done this and left it unresolved for so long.

Sep 28, 2013 6:59 AM in response to Goal1234by felicia99,I tried changing the outgoing SMTP server to p06-smtp.mail.me.com earlier and it didn't appear to work. With a few more responses of success with that solution I tried again and this time it worked. Not sure why it did this time but it did. Thanks for the help!!

Sep 29, 2013 8:41 AM in response to vawoodsby JSTM_1863,Same problem here... can receive emails (Outlook2010) using my apple account but cannot send any, as of 3 days ago. Same account works fine on my iPad. Been tinkering on it for a while to no success until I read this discussion. B_chevy's solution solved my problem, too. Thanks! Although I am very grateful about this, it doesn't sound like changing servers is a permanent solution though, and if Apple does come up with one, will we have to revert back to the original outgoing mail server setting? How will we know?

Sep 29, 2013 7:10 PM in response to felicia99by Jeff_A,This worked for me. I've seen this fix in several threads, and to help other users it's "p(zero)6". I've seen posts listing that as an "oh", which didn't work for me. p06- did.

Sep 29, 2013 7:30 PM in response to jkh28by JSTM_1863,jkh28, did you type exactly "p06-smtp.mail.me.com" in your outgoing mail server setting on Outlook? If you did and it did not help, please try "p01" instead of "p06" - see if that helps. Note - "0" is a zero and lot a letter. See my setting below. I did not have to change anything on my user name.

Sep 29, 2013 7:44 PM in response to Goal1234by vawoods,Thanks to everyone for their help. After trying the p06-smtp server for about a day, it finally worked. I had to set the outgoing port to 587 and the encryption was set to TLS vs SSL. That was the ticket!
Thanks again and good luck to those still trying to figure it out.
