@Csound, I like your idea!! Except then I'd have to go through uninstalling it,
Not at all, just download and delete, no install required.

Unless, of course, the people at Kromtech are as terrible as the people at ZeoBIT (if that's possible)...
There has even been speculation that they are the same people who just formed a new company to re-start their reputation.
The Kromtech web page indicates they are BBB Accredited (Better Business Bureau), but if you click on it you are taken to the page for ZeoBIT, LLC which says it is not Accredited. They did receive an "A" rating with 26 complaints closed in the last three years. A search for "Kromtech" came up empty.
But that's because they are apparently a European investment firm located in Latvia, according to their LinkedIn page.
So I think what's really going on here is that Kromtech purchased the rights to ZeoBIT's software profits, but everything else is exactly the same.

Oct 1, 2013 11:06 AM in response to bentkitty100by PlotinusVeritas,Usage Chart for MacKeeper
1. Don't download much less install MacKeeper
2. Warn others never to use same.
3. If you have MacKeeper installed seek help on removing same.
4. 9/10th of those that install MacKeeper were dirrected there due to visiting unsavory websites, torrent sites, where MacKeeper pop-ups appear like a roach that crawls under your door into your home. Consider both of equal nature.
People that write accurate information about the corrupt nature of this Junkware on wikipedia have their posts constantly removed, as is evidenced from the talk page for same.

Why is Kromtech still redirecting all inquiries about MacKeeper to a Zeobit site?
They arent, that statement isnt accurate.

And...there is a new generation of Junkware from them collectively:

(insert sigh of disgust).
MacKeeper

Actually, if you go to http://kromtech.net and click on either the picture of the box or the blue button below PCKeeper or MacKeeper you will end up on a ZeoBIT page in a separate tab..

I doubt that they are involved at all. Yes, they own it but like most investment companies, they won't get involved in any way with day-to-day operations as long as they get a profit check every month.

Oct 1, 2013 11:23 AM in response to MadMacs0by PlotinusVeritas,I dont deny any of that is the case.
I however wouldnt care who 'owns' the roach, Zeo owns it or Krometech owns it....., or who is making profit off the roach.
Its still a nasty ole' roach

Not accurate? Try to do anything from that page... get more information about MacKeeper, download it or buy it. Where do you end up?

As their page indicates:
"To work properly, all Kromtech products ( MacKeeper and PCKeeper ) will require you to log in with Kromtech account."
And why again is there any care in the world who owns, sells, or controls 'the roach' ?

Why Aha? Have you been avidly seeking to find out who I am? Are you really that interested in one geek who refuses to shut up? Besides, it isn't like you'll ever be able to find out anything about me through this. I'm not going to share my name...
