I recently had the hard drive on my MacBook Pro with Retina Display reformatted at the Genius Bar, starting from scratch. When I opened iTunes, most of my tunes reloaded because I use iTunes Match. This included songs I had imported from physical CD's, as well original recordings produced in Garage Band and shared/imported into iTunes. However, there are aproximately 200 tunes of some 2,800, that are "greyed" out in my music library on iTunes on my MBP. Some are tunes imported from CD's and matched with iTunes Match, but there is no rhyme or reason "why" these particlar songs are greyed out. For instance, it might be 2 songs that are greyed out from The Beatles "Abbey Road", the rest of the tunes on the album are present. Or it might be one series of "original" Garage Band tunes greyed out, while others made in Garage Band show up fine.

These "greyed out" tunes however do show up in iTunes on my iPhone4S, and my iPad (3rd generation).

I have read nothing in these Apple Support discussions which have answered or solved my problem.

Help is welcome.
