Q: Numbers, pages, keynote switches off icloud setting on ipad and iPhone

Been using icloud for docs on ipad and iPhone for ages, no probs.  then a few weeks back all my icloud docs vanished off my ios devices.  The icloud setting under numbers, pages and keynote was set to no.  I can swipe it back to yes,but it doesn't stick, the next time I look into the settings it is back to no again.  I deleted and re added my icloud account which worked fine for a week and now it's back to forgetting the settings.  Any ideas.  Icloud on line and on my imac is fine it's just my ios devises.

If this has been occurring for some time it may well be that you have some corrupt documents stopping everything working. It may well be that you can identify and eliminate these documents, but I suspect it would be simpler and less time consuming to remove all your documents and start again.

    • Save as many documents as you can to your desktop from iCloud.com or from the iCloud document panel in the appropriate Applications.
    • Any documents that are only available on other devices may be able to be saved using my user tip.
    • Turn off document syncing on every device.
    • On your mobile devices make sure document syncing is turned off not only in the iCloud settings, but also in the settings for each app.
    • Check the apps on your mobile devices no longer have any documents in them. (Removing and reinstalling the iWorks apps on your devices may be useful)
    • On your computer go to system preferences > iCloud > manage and delete any documents you see in your iCloud storage.
    • Restart all devices.
    • Re-enable document syncing device by device, ensuring that syncing is working properly before re-enabling syncing on the next device.

Hi oneplusdog, did you resolve this issue? I am seeing the same issue with some students at our school.

There are other thread discussions which focus on a second iCloud mail account being the issue, but I am yet to find a clear explanation of how to resolve that situation.

I am not sure if that's related. I had the same problem, I then opened the App Store app, signed out my account and signed in back, then it was back up again, I have no idea on why...
