Oct 2, 2013 10:21 AM in response to snadaroonyby Axeman1020,iOS 7 prompts to create a passscode after the update. You can opt out but the option is not prominent.
It would have looked like this:
If you forgot what you entered or it is disabled:
Forgotten Passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

Oct 2, 2013 12:37 PM in response to snadaroonyby Axeman1020,You have to out it in revovery mode:
-Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
-Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
-While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
-Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
-iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

Oct 2, 2013 9:01 PM in response to Axeman1020by snadaroony,Hi Axeman 1020
Thank you for your help, but it's not working.
I followed your instructions to the letter, but when I see the computor lead and itunes symbol there is no ok button.
From the bottom of the screen there is the computor lead then above that is an arrow and above that is the itunes symbol and nothing else. What am I doing wrong?

Does iTunes on the computer acknowledge the device in recovery mode?

Yes it seems to be detecting it, as the square box comes up on the computor. There is no ok button on the phone.
