Oct 3, 2013 9:41 AM in response to Moh.Aasifby raymond73,If Sri Lanka uses GSM then you can use an iPhone that was on an AT&T network. AT&T uses GSM, requires a SIM. You will have to get a SIM for your provider in your country.
But with a USA phone you have zero warranty support in Sri Lanka. If you have problems with the phone you are on your own or you fly back to the US, such a flight being more than the cost of a couple of phones.

I'm afraid that sane advice like that is lost on many of the people who come here convinced that they're going to save lots of money by buying a phone from the US on ebay...
