Q: why has apple not tracked a devise I paid $1000.00 dollars for?They have the technology to track my device but refuse to do so.Very disatisfied customer.

I need my ipad tracked.I have my sons military wedding and his military graduation on this device.It got stolen at airport in st. louis mo.

    Did you enable the free Find my iPhone service on the device?

    Did you backup the device to your computer, or to iCloud?

    Did you you take out insurance against loss, theft or damage?

     

    While I have sympathy for your loss, it isn't Apple's job to look after your hardware, or make sure that you backup your data properly. Contact local law enforcement. They may have the ability and legal power to track down the device whereas Apple probably don't have the latter.
