Oct 3, 2013 12:49 PM in response to StrayKattby Jeffrey Kornegay,At first, I was doing that — saying I didn't trust the computer — and it charged but didn't show up in iTunes or iPhoto or anywhere else. Great! Just what I wanted. Except for it to stop asking me if I trusted the computer.
Once I said I trusted it, it tried to sync and pull up all my photos in iPhoto, which is exactly NOT what I wanted.

Oct 3, 2013 2:41 PM in response to Jeffrey Kornegayby RLNTEX,Are you using a Mac or PC? I know with a PC you can stop the notification through Task Manager. Once the splash screen comes up go to Task Manager and look for the link then go to the file and delete it. Be careful that you don't delete something that will cause you grief

Oct 3, 2013 9:20 PM in response to StrayKattby matthk,Easy. In this instance, you need to tell it NOT to trust your work computer.
The phone isn't 'actually' asking to trust your work computer, it's asking to 'trust' iTunes on that computer - if it exists. If you don't have iTunes on your work computer, then you're clearly not using it to sync your iPhone and you're only using it to charge the phone so there's no need for the phone to 'trust' it
(By the way, once it's at 100% charge, unplug it! Modern batteries don't like being at 100% with a constant trickle charge.)

Oct 4, 2013 9:40 PM in response to matthkby Rukur,The problem is the question has to be answered everytime. Even if you dont trust you get asked again the next time you connect the iPhone to the same computer.
This featured needs to be disabled so people who only charge in the same place dont get this bloody pop up every time.

Oct 5, 2013 3:06 AM in response to JohnPaulWilliamby Samadg,Same problem here
Only connect my 4s to a Linux computer (with no iTunes) to charge and get prompted everytime I connect it to the same computer.
If I say "Trust", it'll keep popping the same question and if I choose "Don't trust", it'll ask me again next time I connect it to the same computer.
It was just fine before I upgraded to iOS 7.

Oct 5, 2013 3:16 AM in response to bizarre1by biowizard,As has been said, if the iPhone is locked when connected (or after a Windows reboot, in my case, while connected throughout), the messages does not appear at that point.
However, the next time I turn on the phone, while it has remained connected, then even if Windows is fully running and all the Apple Device Support drivers are running, the phone somehow "remembers" the previous computer power on, and asks the dumb "Trust" question again.
If ANYONE from APPLE is MONITORING this thread - PLEASE give us GROWN-UP USERS the option of turning off this VERY ANNOYING "FEATURE".

Oct 5, 2013 3:42 AM in response to Rukurby mjf1963,I agree. Better still, add a feature for us non Itunes/Windows/Mac users who are iPhone owners, to allow us to disable the "Microsoftesque" forced option. If I dont want the extra "security" feature then I should not be forced to have it. Why am I finding myself considering Samsung and Android again..........

Oct 7, 2013 12:36 AM in response to JohnPaulWilliamby ysabto,I had the same issue,
I tried to re-install itunes, and almost formated my iphone.
but I found a solution
device manager -> Portable iPhone
right click "Apple iPhone"
click on "Update Driver Software".
issue solved to me.
no more "trust this PC" , and my iPhone and iTunes are sync now.
hope it'll help for you too.

Oct 7, 2013 5:51 AM in response to JohnPaulWilliamby AxeBox360,This is so frustrating! I told it that I trust my home and work computers like 100000000 times! Like my kids it doesn't listen.
Apple....fix this with an on/off sliders.
Thank you.

Oct 7, 2013 7:43 AM in response to ysabtoby biowizard,But this doesn't help if you are connecting to a computer that is NOT running iTunes!
And remember, even a computer that DOES have iTunes installed, is NOT running it at boot-up time. So if I plug my iPhone into my Windows workstation when Windows is running (and iTunes is installed), all is fine.
But if I reboot that computer, while the phone is connected, the phone is woken by the changes in power status of the USB port during the reboot, and because iTunes is NOT running at that point in time, iOS 7 panics and asks if I trust the computer.
Even if I don't touch my phone, and wait until Windows is fully running again, with iTunes too - next time I turn my phone on, it asks if I trust the computer.
REPEAT: APPLE, YOU MUST MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR USERS TO DISABLE THIS NEW "FEATURE".

Oct 7, 2013 7:37 PM in response to biowizardby Psyconic,I don't like Itune, I don't use it, and I specialy don't want it..!
But that my phone keep asking me if I trust this computer, over and over.... really **** me @FF..!
I know that Apple doesn't care about customer, and they will probably not read this comment, but if by mistake they read it, I can tell one thing for sure.."! I'm giving apple 1 month to get this fix, security or not I should decide if I want this active or not. and If this ain't fix , I moving on to a different brand and I mean It. I never logged into the forum before, I never said anything, first and last comment from me.!
Thanks,

Oct 7, 2013 8:11 PM in response to Psyconicby AxeBox360,Disabling the iphone device driver on Windows works.
ps. I'm sure that Apple will miss your business.

Oct 7, 2013 11:13 PM in response to AxeBox360by Rukur,This is going around in circles, If there is no apple software on the machine there is no apple driver.
The iPhone is detected by the standard Microsoft USB driver.
Apple needs to let people disable this feature via the iPhone itself.

Oct 8, 2013 3:46 AM in response to Rukurby RLNTEX,You couldn't be more correct, it is going around in circles and the problem lies with the iOS7 not the computer. This option needs a control on the phone.
