Q: How do I access Logic Pro 9 instruments in Mainstage 3?

I recently purchased Mainstage 3 from the app store. I currently use Mainstage 2 for stage performance and Logic 9 for production.

In mainstage 2, I have the ability to access Logic Pro 9's instruments through the Instrument Channel Strip folder in the Patch Inspector.

In mainstage 3, this Instrument Channel Strip folder has another folder inside it called 'Performance', which is empty.

This is the same case with the Audio Channel Strip folder. It is just empty in Mainstage 3.

How do i get these Logic 9 sounds to be in my patch inspector in Mainstage 3?

Thankyou

MainStage, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

    Hi

Your own LP9 channel Strip settings are normally saved in <User>:Library:Application Support:Logic, whilst MS 3 defaults to a new location:

    <User>:Music:Audio Music Apps

LPX automatically makes a "hard link" copy of the Application support folder, but perhaps MS3 does not so you may need to manually copy your LP9 settings to the new location.

To get to the User Library, use the Finder:Go meny whilst holding down Option.

Guess I'm dense as going to Finder and holding down Option while typing in Go or Go meny produces nothing for me! I too not only need to move some favorite sounds that frankly I copied and currently sit in my concert patch list as a way to cheat. But #1  Now I need to send these copied tones from patch list to my patch library for better future usage. But how?

And #2 I have a few sounds stored in Logic (an Apple guy stored them for me on a one to one visit) that I must always search for because the Logic folder does not naturally appear on the patch inspector, why? until those old tones are summoned through a search they are lost! Better never forget their names!

Thanks for any and all help ~ L

In the Finder (ie looking at the Desktop), take a look at the Go menu in the menu bar at the top.

Then take a look at that menu whilst you hold down Option.
