Q: Airport Extreme can't connect to internet?
Hello all,
Purchased myself a Airport Extreme base station today and have plugged it in to configure it, however it keeps failing to connect to the internet. The amber light is constantly flashing after the green start up led.
I have tried resetting it to no avail. I have a TP Link W8960N Router, connected via Cat5 to the WAN Port on the Airport. It is failing to connect still. My Macbook will show it under 'other wifi devices' in Airport 6.3.1, it is now showing Preparing... It normally just says it needs the latest firmware (7.3.2?) and then a link to Apple Support. I click this, and it shows me how to update it, which is plug it into the internet and connect to it, and it still flashed amber. I have a good solid internet connection of 2.5mb/s and 41ms ping and am connecting to the internet fine. No problems browsing, or downloading. I am the only active user on the network at the minute.
I have tried using Airport Utility on my iPhone 4 on iOS 7, but again to no avail. I am using a MacBook Pro on 10.9.
Whats the solution to this?
Many Thanks
Mac OS X (10.6.7), Mac OSX 10.7 Lion, iTunes 10.x.x
