I installed an Ipod adapter that is specific to my car. (USA Spec PA11-HON for a 2002 Acura NSX) Why won't my Gen 4 Ipod Touch play though it?

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.3

When you say you installed, do you mean DIY?   Did you disconnect the CD changer and connect the USA Spec?

It is possible the unit is faulty.  Double check the install.

I understand the directions are poor.

well maybe the car cannot recognise iPods, the adapter is faulty or if your not using the music player and another app then maybe thats your problem

Does the car systems manufacturer say it will work with the 4G iPod with iOS 6.1.3?

    Sometimes this works:

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore from backup. See:

    iOS: How to back up

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Or sometimes is is just pnot compatible,

I looked on the USA spec website.   The NSX was a unique car from Acura.    None of the adaptors are equipped for your make, model and year.
