My son jumped into the pool with my old iphone 3GS in his pocket. They dryed it off with a towel then an hour or two later tossed it into a bag of rice. They probably attempted to turn it on and off more than once. Not sure if they attempted to turn it off initially. As soon as it got to me I took the sim card out but wasn't able to open it up any more than thaat, so put it back in the rice. After four or five weeks - still in the rice - I turned it on and it wanted to talk to iTunes. So I plugged it into the MacBook Pro it talks to and it wanted to restore so I said sure. So now it is saying I have an unknown error code (29) and won't do anything. Then it starts back asking if I want to restore. When I say sure it does the same routine again. Is this a shiny paper weight or do we have a chance?
