Oct 8, 2013 4:56 AM in response to Marshall Hoseyby burgback,Even when using configurator in an education setting, I still noticed that students could reset the whole device. I started turning on Restrictions in Settings -> General.
With restrictions on, a user can't wipe the device without the code you put in for restrictions.

Oct 8, 2013 7:03 AM in response to burgbackby varjak paw,Having the Restrictions on does not prevent someone from restoring an iOS device via iTunes on a computer. The only way to block a restore is to set up Find My iPad which also sets up the Activation Lock, and that doesn't prevent someone from erasing the iPad, only from using it afterwards without access to the Apple ID used to set up Find My iPad.
Regards.

Oct 8, 2013 7:16 AM in response to varjak pawby burgback,The other option with that is to set up Supervison with Apple Configurator to not allow it to connect to any other machine besides the configuration machine. Having that and restrictions would keep it locked down as well.
