Sep 19, 2013 12:12 AM in response to shaneo77by CarrieJane27,According to Apple, they told me the reason my iCloud Calendar's background color changed to (an awful!!!!) PINK, is due to Apple trying to harmonize the iPhone 7 and iPad 7 with the iCloud.
Has anyone heard how to change the background color to the original look of a planner in white for the calendar and outside color in brown?

Sep 30, 2013 10:06 AM in response to shaneo77by OldNewMac,I have the same problem. This is one area Microsoft does it much better. Sorry. Being new to Apple and the Mac it's a bit of a let down. Pretty simple feature if you ask me. The color coded calendar makes a huge difference with both work and home organization. I'll follow this thread as well. Thanks to all of you for your diligence with Apple. Hopefully they can get this figured out.

Oct 9, 2013 4:08 AM in response to shaneo77by Ratherbeinmaui,I just noticed this yesterday, but my situation is a bit more curious... I have 7 calendars defined in iCloud, on my Macbook Air, iPhone 5 and iPad... of the 7 calendars, the 3 I use most, one of which is shared, cannot be changed in color, the remaining 4, I can change at will. When I try to change "work" to the red it's been for years, it reverts back to the blue that iCloud seems to want it to be. I can change them on my phone and ipad and they remain changed, but not the MBA or iCloud!! To those who claim it's fixed... either you're lucky, or you better check again. Oh... as to the sharing being the culprit, one of the calendars that I share with my daughter, I can change the color at will!
Still hoping Apple wakes up to this little annoyance.

Oct 9, 2013 7:21 AM in response to shaneo77by James Johnson14,Add me to the list of the problem coming back!
No matter what calendar be it iCloud or on various CPUs, the purple is the default and it will not allow me to change it.

Oct 9, 2013 8:42 AM in response to James Johnson14by MDJCM,I get purple too, I wouldn't mind if that was the default colour for new Calendars, but it is affecting existing calendars.

Oct 9, 2013 9:06 AM in response to shaneo77by ptbroderick,Mine had been fine for years. Now, my work calendar wants to be purple as of this morning, even though it's been yellow for years. Home calendar wants to be blue, even though it's been green for years. I have changed the colors on my mac, on my ios7 iphone 5, and on icloud.com, only to watch them change right back. My reminders also have a mind of their own and don't even match up between things. icloud.com lets me change the reminders, but it doesn't change anywhere else. The reminders colors are also different on ios7 notification center and in the reminders app. Please, someone help. This only started this morning and is pretty annoying.

Oct 9, 2013 9:39 AM in response to shaneo77by renowden,Mee Too! Had the problem back a few months and it went away, but now back with a vengence. 4 devices (iPod iOS 6, iPad iOS 7, iPhone iOS 7, Mac 10.8.5.1) plus web iCloud. 4 calendars. Two of them will not stick with the colours I want - Green reverts to Blue on some devices and Blue reverts to Purple on all of them.

Oct 9, 2013 11:11 AM in response to shaneo77by violetrose32,Same with me. As of yesterday, 2 of my calendars changed colours on their own. Of course, they are the calendars that I use the most. When I try to change the colours back, they immediately revert back to the new colour.....very frustrating! I have had to create 2 new calendars and I am now having to change over my entries....a really big hassle. Please fix soon!!!!!

Oct 9, 2013 11:30 AM in response to shaneo77by gerardo8a,Today my calendar changes from red to blue, I changed back and I realized it was comming from the refresh. So I went directly to icloud.com and while trying to update the color of the calendar it just reverts back right away. Its not possible to chnge the color.
Does anyone knows how to fix this or is apple that needs to fix it? I haven't done anything different in the past day or today and it just start happening.

Oct 9, 2013 12:07 PM in response to shaneo77by TheTazinator,Mine started yesterday. I assumed that it was related to the fact that I upgraded my wifes iPhone and iPad to iOS7 but seeing this tread, maybe not. I've unshared the calendar completely. When I log into iCloud.com and try it there it reverts straight back. No delay even. I've exported the calendar and may try to delete it in a day or two and see if I can recreate and make it go away. My other 3 calendars change fine.

Oct 9, 2013 12:30 PM in response to violetrose32by mer_uk,Yep, after having disappeared for a few weeks mine returned this morning too, and in exactly the same way as everybody is describing here. It seemed to be fine for me since upgrading to iOS 7 so I assumed that was the problem, but obviously not!
Along with everyone here, I would appreciate a quick fix!

Oct 9, 2013 12:38 PM in response to shaneo77by Hugh Surname,This just began happening on my devices last night (Oct. 8) and has continued today. The "work" calendar appointments have gone from green to purple, on their own, across all the days I checked.
The mobile devices are using iOS 7.0.2
Is there a fix for this? does Apple have one planned? Does anyone know what caused this? Is this something new way of identifying appointments that could not be confirmed against iCloud?
