You ask a good question about "support", which has been largely lacking in this particular discussion. I complained about the tone of some of the postings yesterday, only to have my posts deleted for being off-topic.

Unfortunately for Apple, it looks like the tide is turning against them,as iOS7 appears to have been the final straw for many owners. People like modular747 keep saying "buy some non-Apple phone, we don't care", which is seriously stupid on all sorts of levels; if you really care about a company and its products, the last thing you should want to see, if you have any intelligence at all, is former customers leaving in their droves because of a poorly though-out, non-reversible upgrade.

You really can't grasp that you aren't taking to Apple and the people responding here don't work for Apple. NO ONE participating in this forum cares one iota what products you buy or use.  Your idle threats are pointless. You haven't been looking for tech support at all.

No, I haven't, but others have; I was simply reading the thread to see what kind of problems people were having (quite a lot, it seems). And I (don't know about others) am well aware that I "am not talking to Apple". And what "idle threats" are you going on about, as I wasn't aware of having made any threats, idle or otherwise.

All you've done is insult anyone who dares say anything at all, which is neither helpful nor clever, and just makes you look, well, a bit sad really.

What is sad is the unrelenting whining and ranting along with threats and declarations of Apple's demise if they don't accede to your entitled demands.

You're as clueless about the word as everything else. From the OED:

    ► verb

[no obj.] speak or shout at length in an angry, impassioned way: she was still ranting on about the unfairness of it all.

    ► noun

a spell of ranting; a tirade: his rants against organized religion.

Maybe you should take it up with that "high authority" you ridiculously threatened the forum hosts with in that now deleted post

The post that I had deleted was one which you will probably have received via email anyway.

    I said in it that:

I felt very grateful for the way this thread has been managed by the Hosts and the Mods who must have a really tough job keeping a fair balance between discussion and heated debate.

I think the guys who spend a lot of their own private time dedicated to helping others on here is admirable, and folks like modular727 and others go out of their way to be a help.

I hope they all get the clap they richly deserve.

    Cheers.

When you say "your entitled demands", what on earth do you mean? I mean, what the heck are "entitled demnds"?

And, in any case, what demands are referring to. I, as in me personally, not others who have posted here, have not made any demands, so once again you seem to have jumped to the wrong conclusion.

Oh hey, that's a bit harsh. There's no need for all that now is there, Shrek?

We're all on here looking for the same thing, a bit of help, the opportunity to help others, and it should all be a happy and helpful place - shouldn't it? So, how about it? Come on, let's start afresh and be friends and all get along. Hey? How about it?

    How can I help?

This post is an unmoderated rant.

Which again proves our point that there is one rule for one and another for the others.

I'm curious as to why this whole topic "how do I uninstall iOS 7?" is still getting so much attention when the answer has always been "you cannot uninstall iOS 7".  It seems that people are getting frustrated with each other and that's all this is about now.  Meanwhile, some of us have questions out there that have been viewed a lot and not answered.

I know for a fact that Apple does have employees on here a lot.  I was told by the support people.  Why is that so taboo to admit that? Never mind.  I'm merely responding to ChrisRR whose last words were "How can I help?"

The last ten pages of this thread are the same three or four posters trying to out-insult each other. This thread is dead and buried. It's all just posturing now. It's obvious to me that the forum moderators have left this thread continue as a way for some to blow off steam without starting thread after thread of the same.

You are correct. The topic was started as a question on how to uninstall iOS 7. That question was answered the first day. You can't. After that it quickly degenerated into threats, insults, pointless arguing, posturing, defending opinions, etc.

And to those who seem to think the number of posts and views of any thread somehow mean anything important, you're wrong. There have been threads on these discussion forums that went for tens of thousands of responses and views. And all were just like this one. After the first day they all went down hill to arguing and insults. The original question and purspose was lost in the chaos.
