My "Email Notifications" in my profile have all been changed to "No" since I commented on this thread way back in the first few pages of the thread... I am still getting email notifications. (I have "re-saved" the prefs several times) Was fine when I could mark thr emails as junk, but now I am traveling, (home computer off) only have my phone. (no way in iOS to block emails or mark as junk) & my phone dings every time someone comments on this thread. (unbelievably annoying) Honestly, dont care about reverting, now I just want the emails to stop showing up on my phone. (would include a screen shot of the prefs all on "off", but aparently cant paste the image into yhis thread from my phone.- not an option)
I just want the emails to stop.
What am I missing?

gee, aparently you can't read. I turned them ALL off, but I am still getting email notifications to this thread. There apears to be no way to stop the emails
And you can't follow simple instructions. Scroll to the top of THIS PAGE, THE PAGE YOU ARE CURRENTLY READING. There is a box labeled ACTIONS. The first link in it is stop email notifications.

Thank you flibbertygibbet I totally agree. I would also add that all posts that were deleted fully complied with the terms of the agreement too. It was claimed that Apple are not here but looking at their agreement they seem to have a lot of involvement by proxy? There's a short condition there that may as well be the only one on there that boils down to if we don't like your post for whatever reason we'll delete it and pressumably the reason why my posts were deleted. It's the sort of thing that we here about in China and places like that.

A few people on here don't seem to get where the majority of people are coming from with this issue so let me give you an analogy.
When I buy a new car I don't just buy the first one I see. I look at price, quality, look, functionality, performance, size and end up with a short list that I eventually whittle down to 1. Once I've chosen which car, I then specify things that I want to tailor it to my specific needs and preferences i.e. colour, seat fabric, wheels and parking sensors.
I do the same when choosing a new phone.
If I took my car to the garage for a service I don't know exactly what they do but I have a good idea. I wouldn't expect them to say; "we updated your car"... you now have a new look dashboard; we've added a few things, moved a few things about and changed the overall look. We've changed the fabric on your seats too and the seats can now spin the opposite way round. It may be I'd like the changes, but there's a good chance I won't because I chose the car based on the features it had originally. I may find some of the added features useful, or there again may never use them. I may have lost features are really liked.
If it were a car I could turn round and say, “I'm sorry you should have told me first, I don't like what you've done put it back to how it was”. If they didn't the law would be on my side to ensure they did.
I feel the same way about my phone. I'd like it back how it was please and if you can't or won't do that Apple then fine, I'd like a refund instead.
The UI is sloppy, core apps crash 10 times more frequently, and very useful features have been made less useful or removed entirely. One thing i really do not like, is the entire UI was based on the larger 5 screen, making the 4/4s screen very cramped with no workaroud.
I tried un-installing via backup, but indeed it is only info & settngs that get backed up, not the OS itself.
I miss iOS 6, but 7 is here to stay, i just hope they fix it.

It's a mini IQ test by Apple. Very obscure and intricate process:
At top right of this (or any) thread page: Actions > Stop email notifications

It works for everyone else. Must be something "special" about you.
"ALL": there is only one relevant option, as I described
Okay clever clogs, you don't know everything for every situation and there's no need to be so condescending to people.
I too have tried to stop these emails and gone into Your Stuff/Preferences/Email Notification Preferences and selected all sorts of combinations which haven't turned the emails off. I tried your first option but couldn't find any sign of
Actions > Stop email notifications
Eventually, the box with that in suddenly appeared on the page and it then took me ages to find out why it turned up but wasn't there before. Here is the answer:
You have to be signed in. Well, call me thick, but I don't always sign in, I just link from any (of these ***** hundreds of) emails to read them and guess what - that box is not there then.
And for my four pennorth, I detest iOS 7, after 1 minute my eyes are stinging from trying to read stuff, when I type, the keyboard obscures my typing, it takes ages to load a page in Safari, sometimes timing out, (tried to put a screen shot here but wouldn't let me, I'm not as clever as you!)
I constantly get the Notification Centre or Control Centre or search bar when I try to open things from home page and other places. When using the Input Forms in Numbers the cursor disappears when going to the next field. I can't find my way around Calendar and there are many more things, too many to put here.
I have the iPhone 5 and iPad 2 and yes I have tried all the tips to 'improve' ios 7 but by having to use them I am now classified as impaired because I have to set up Accessability functions where I didn't have to before.
I used to have a really great experience with Apple products but that has ended with this 'upgrade'. Every time I have to use the iPhone or iPad, I want to smash them against the wall but I have spent a lot of money on them and so am stuck with them until I save up to change them. I also have the MacBook Pro and will definitely be holding back on the Mavericks upgrade because of this latest fiasco.
Before you say it, yes, I have sent feedback to apple.

I have to get this question answered because it is extremely frustrating. I have been disgusted with Apple ever since the ios 5 whatever update where the ipod app was removed and rendered my iphone 4 useless to me. I sucked it up and figured maybe there is a chance they would reconsider this change in future updates, but that never happened, it just got worse. Apple I think your inflexibility with past ios's is a bad policy. I will never buy anything with ios 7 or similar software. Over the past years I have purchased 4 iphones and 2 ipads from you and have recommended your product to dozens of friends and family members. A flexability in ios policy would be a major relief to alot of long time customers who are frustrated with unwanted changes and functionality loss due to unwanted updates. I would like someone from Apple to please explain why this simple solution is not possible.

1. The iPod App was never removed, it was simply split up and rernamed "Music". for Music, and Videos for Videos.
Both of them still did all the same things the iPod App originally did, and more. Not sure why you thought it stopped working.
And it still does everything the iPod App would do. Which is play your Music library. videos then plays your Video library.
2. Apple is not here, and such will not answer. Why you can't go back to a previous iOS is not known, and since we cannot speculate in this forum about Apple's decisions all we can say is there probably is a real and rational technical reason why its not supported.

iOS7 "Blue Screen" ...
Blue Screen Of Death
Is Apple iOS7 turning in Windows?
