My iPad keeps crashing when I switch from apps. It started happening after the ios7 update. I called apple care and they told me that the new update would fix it, but it didn't.

iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 7.0.2

Have the same issue as well. I thought it was possibly due to apps not being updated to accommodate the new IOS, but it is crashing using Apple apps (iTunes, etc). It's getting frustrating.  Goes to a black screen and the Apple. Happens at least twice a day.

After replacing my iPad (4th Gen/Wi-fi/3G) because it suddenly doesn't want to charge, soon after I got it, I upgraded to iOS7. I was able to use it for about two weeks or so, when I got home one time, it just keeps on searching network... endlessly! Then I noticed that it just keeps on resetting maybe after about 3-5 minutes, maybe less. Since I just got the replacement, I brought it back to Apple service Center here in Manila, about a week after I got a call that they were able to fix it by resetting and restoring… that is what they told me insisting that that they have to update it to 7.0.2 which i said I already did. anyway, they say that that was just the problem so I got my iPad (after paying about $20 for their supposed reset). Now about two weeks or so after getting my iPad... THE RESETTING IS BACK AGAIN! Same symptoms... searching for network... then resetting.... What is wrong. I have the 1st Gen and the 2nd gen iPad and I really don't encounter such problem.

Now I am trying to reset and restore it but I can't seem to do it... I always have the error message telling me that I cannot turn off my iCloud.

Does this have something to do with the updates… since I just noticed that there is a 7.0.3 update again…

Please help... After syncing and re-syncing files and other stuff... I probably will just use my old realiable non 3G second Gen. iPad.  This is getting to be frustrating…

I have the same crashing issue with my 4th gen iPad with iOS 7.0.3.   The iPad goes to black apple screen and resets... Seems to happen most when navigating apps not just watching the screen.

Hop a fix comes soon... This reminds me of owning a Mac during Gil Amelios rein.  It wasn't pretty.

My iPad 4 also crashes few times every day mostly when using multitasking and switching apps? I also plan to call apple support about that annoying issue. Is there anybody with known fix or apple support throw you in the fog?

I have the same problem, iPad 4 on iOS 7.0.4. Intermittent but frequent crashes render the iPad useless. I was sent to recovery mode on two occasions and restoring the iPad took several attempts. Still crashing...

Try turning off Background App Refresh (under Settings > General)
