Q: Safari iOS 7 keeps flashing previously closed tabs upon reopen? Security Problem

Hello, I am using an iPad 2 on iOS 7 with safari in private mode.  Safari on iOS 7 has a bug (iOS 6 didn't behave this way) where you can close tabs and leave the safari app and when you come back to open safari, it will flash an old tab on the screen before loading a fresh blank page.  The weirdest thing is the tab isn't even the most recent tab, just something random during the day.  I could just picture this causing problems for people e.g. Husband shopping for surprise trip online and expedia flashes on screen for his wife even though he thought he'd safely closed the tab or any other situation where you don't people getting a peek at your business.  What is the point of private mode if safari chooses to randomly display previously closed tabs to anyone?

Please post if you've noticed the same behavior.

I've noticed the same thing a couple of times on my iPad 2 upgraded to ios7.   I have not seen this behavior on my iPhone which is also running ios7.

Mine does this every time I open Safari.  It will flash random pages for a second.  Sometimes it is from days earlier or from the last session.  I have tried clearing out cache and deleting history.  It still pulls up random pages regardless of private viewing or not.

Same here, except it is not limited to Safari. I have at least 2 other apps on my ipad that do the same thing. These are note taking apps with the ability to insert images from the camera or photo library. I've noticed that, like on safari, if I close one note and open another, then minimize or close that app, and relaunch or reopen it, it sometimes momentarily flashes a screen image of a PREVIOUSLY opened note before showing the current one.

I have seen this too.  It is one of MANY problems I have experienced with Safari in iOS 7, on three different devices--iPad Air, iPhone 5, and iPad 2.  This also occurs when using other browsers, e.g.,Chrome, in iOS 7.

I'm having this problem, too. How do we fix it? Has Apple given us any instructions?

I am going to be honest. I sometimes view sites that are inappropriate for my child, who uses my iPad. This is a concern for me. I will stop viewing these on my iPad, but really, this horrible.

To add to my earlier reply, I have now also noticed that the same thing happens with the native NOTES app. Several times I've opened the app and had it flash an image of an older, closed note for a second before going back to the current note or notes list.

I should also mention that the old Notes that were flashed momentarily  had been DELETED prior to this! One of these contained very sensitive and personal information, which would have been a problem if someone else had been looking at the iPad at the time. Since I use the iPad for business and regularly show notes, photos, etc to clients, his is a HUGE issue!! I now have to worry every time I open my iPad to show anyone anything, not knowing for sure WHAT private info may be momentarily revealed....and I am FLABBERGASTED that not one person from Apple has addressed this issue anywhere on these forums. It's also absurd that the phone reps (even the so-called senior advisors) always say "hmm... We've never heard of that problem." Why is it that they NEVER know anything about problems that are posted ALL OVER the Apple forums?? I would feel so much better about these bugs if Apple would at least acknowledge their customers concerns and say "We're working on that...". It's just another reflection of Apple's cultural arrogance. Wake up, Apple! You're facing ever-growing competition! Ignore your customers and they will go away!
