iPhone 4S iOS 7.0.2 Wi-Fi Greyed Out

Hi,

I have a problem with my iPhone 4S, I was using it normally on iOS 6.1.2, everything was working just fine.

Yesterday I updated to iOS 7.0.2 and now, the problems won't stop.

My Wi-Fi button is greyed out and it seems to me that a lot of users are complaining about the same situation...

I also found 2 workarounds for this problem:

1) Put the iPhone into a plastic bag and leave it in the freezer for 15 minutes.

2) Reflowing the wifi chip with a hair-dryer or a proper heat machine.

But... It seems to me that this problem is related to the iOS...

Any ideas ? Apple technicians ? Anyone ?

Obs: I did the freezing trick... but with a ventilator, i left it aimed to my iphone for 1 hour until it was cold... the wi-fi worked for like, 4/5 hours and stopped suddenly...

I'm sorry "gdgmacguy" but i don't agree with what u said, it was working fine until yesterday and it works when the iphone is cooled down... it's a big Coincidence if my wifi chip failed in the exact same day i updated my iOS and a big coincidence to see all those frustrated users complaing about the same thing...

But thanks for your attention tho'!

Obs: Since i'm from Brazil, a wifi replacement is out of question since it costs 350 USD....

Hey lynkin i have the same problem as you do in iphone 4s. believe me, i have tried everything to solve this issue. in the freezer it works for a while and then stops. it is your wifi chip that is busted and you have to replace it. you can either go to apple and get a new phone for 200 dollares or you can go to a phone technician to fix the problem for you.

Ok, but.. this is very strange man, it was working just fine until the update... after rebooting on 7.0.2, the WiFi didn't work anymore... If I replace the Wifi/Bluetooth Chip, will it work?

Sorry but i don't know which one should you buy to fix your wifi problem because i know nothing about phones. but i can tell you that if your problem started with ios 7, apple can maybe help you. you should contact them. they are giving exceptions for ios 7 problems. that is all i can help with.

hope you can fix you wifi

Other than working for a while after deep freezing, my 64GB 4S baby is otherwise WIFI disabled. No fixes ever work and Apple has no clue what is happening ? And deep freezing works only a while. I didn't buy the 64GB memory because I need to make calls only. Everything I bought from Apple has problem. I used to to be a diehard Apple Fan. I regretted being so loyal to Apple for so long. I am convinced Apple is a premium scam, I am giving up Apple for something else. Anyone interested in my Apple junks, please contact me.
