I Agreed to the iOS update for my iPad. Since doing so I cannot access any books on my kindle app.  It says I need to deregister them and redownload through iCloud..this is annoying and how do I avoid being charged twice for the books. I have a lot of them locked in kindle.

iPad, iOS 7

    Hi ramonafromsk,

Your Kindle books are always accessible in the Kindle Cloud. Can you provide us with the exact message that you are getting when you try to open the Kindle app?

    Thanks,

OK, well first let's try the following to see if it clears things up:

Close all open apps: Double click on the Home button and then swipe up on the thumbnails above each app icon until they are all closed

Reset your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down both the Home and Power buttons and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if you can access your books.

If that doesn't work, delete the book from your Kindle Library and re-download it and see if it will open then.

If that doesn't work, then tap and hold the Kindle App icon and when all of the icons begin to wiggle, click on the "x" in upper left-hand corner of the Kindle app to delete it. Then go to the App store and re-download the Kindle app. Once it is re-downloaded, open the app and make sure you are looking at the Library. Click on the Cloud switch at the bottom, and re-download one of your books, and see if it will now open.

    Cheers,

You should also check the Kindle forums whenever you have a problem with their app.

YAY ramona! You are most welcome. I would be lost without my Kindle app....I have it on all of my devices and my Mac. I love having my library with me wherever I go! So glad you got your issue straightened out!

    Cheers,
