Oct 13, 2013 4:15 PM in response to kalimaritaby kalimarita,Further to my query about iCloud not backing up, I've since discovered that I can't access the internet. This has occurred since I connected my phone to wifi in order to backup to iCloud. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Oct 13, 2013 5:24 PM in response to kalimaritaby randers4,★HelpfulSince you are having trouble connecting to the internet using wifi, you won't be able to back up to iCloud. Back up to your computer instead by connecting your phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, then go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now. Then go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. When finished, click Check for Update on the Summary tab and update to iOS 7. When the update finishes, choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore the backup you just made.
Hopefully updating (which replaces the iOS) will fix your ability to connect to wifi and to back up to iCloud.

Oct 20, 2013 10:13 PM in response to randers4by kalimarita,Thanks for your reply. iTunes doesn't seem to recognise my phone. It just says "iPhone" rather than 'Kali's iPhone' which is the name of my phone. I get a message: iTunes was unable to download data class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later.
I seem to be stuck at step 1!

Oct 21, 2013 8:46 AM in response to kalimaritaby randers4,★HelpfulYou might want to check the name of your phone by going to Settings>General>About>Name to be sure it's still the same. If it isn't, you can change it to the name you want there, but I don't think that's the problem you are having with iTunes.
To fix this, assuming you have a PC rather than a Mac, uninstall iTunes and all of it's components, then reinstall iTunes by following the steps in the guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923. Be sure to follow it exactly, removing each of the components in the order specified. )This will only uninstall the application, it won't touch your iTunes library or data.) Then try backing up to your computer again as outlined in my earlier post.
