I am having the same problem when I am in Month view, I cannot tap on the day and see that day. When I tap on the day it does nothing. It is soooooo frustrating to have to hit day view at the top and then scroll left or right to find the day that I want to make an appointment on. It seems to work properly on my iphone 5s but not on my ipad. Why on earth is it different on my ipad (where I make all of my appointments) Grr this is ridiculous...

I link my Calendar with all of my devices. So when I make an appointment on my iMac or iPad it shows up on my iPhone. Can any one confirm if I can do that with any of the 3rd party apps. If I install one of the 3rd party apps on my iPad will my iPhone and my iMac calendars be updated as well. I currently use iCloud to link all 3 and I am having so much frustration with making appointments on my iPad that I feel that unless Apple changes some of the problems (not being able to go to day view from Month by tapping the day) I have to try another calendar.

I just could not get used to awful ios7 calendar. I got Week Cal and Pocket Life. Both use iCloud and appointments appear on all calendars regardless of where you create appointment. I like Pocket Life  the most because it has the feature I miss most: calendar view on top and when you  press a day on calendar your appointments are ALL  visible on bottom and on one page. No having to scroll to find appointment. Surely Apple can fix this. And don't you hate that there is no line of demarcation between the months?

PS Re: Pocket Life. Initially I did not like the calendar photos until I learned how to set the look of things the way I wanted them.  Week Cal is great in weekly view.

I have colour coded calendars. When "upgraded" to iOS7 Calendar started to change colours. I tried to fix this with changing the settings / colours on iphone, ipad and mac but it's not working. It looks like fixed for 30 secs, but then Calendar turns the colours of calendars back to what it wants. Any suggestions how to fix this?

I hate the new calendar, too.  It is difficult to find a given appoinment - most of my appointments don't even show up on the first screen, I have to scroll down to find out if I have anything going on on a certain day.  I also really miss the list feature.  It was the quickest, easiest way to view a week of appointments.  Apple, I certainly hope you are going to fix this - there was nothing wrong with the old calendar!

To everyone saying "just tap the search button for a list", yes, I get a list, but can you not see that the old method was a LOT easier to comprehend and understand? A vertically arranged list of numbers and words is not as intuitive to understand as seeing that data along with the regular calendar format.

At the VERY least, why can't they keep the dot that indicates an event on the month view AND the week view. As it is now, once you tap the day, the dots indicating events disappear from the other days. At least be consistent.

The iOS7 Calendar is a dog.  Until Apple makes changes to it, consider buying Fantastical from the iTunes App Store.

Fantastical was mentioned by someone in an earlier reply so I took a chance and bought it.  Well worth the $4.99.

Agreed! The missing line demarcation is awful!

+1 to get the old calendar back.

the month division in the new calendar is awful, and the missing preview of the events on the bottom for the selected day is definitely a step backward.

I completely agree also! This calendar is very poor compared to the previous version. The 'list' view was the best and simplest view to use on an iPhone, it gave you the abililty to easily see all the events without having to scroll through sh*t loads of empty times until you find the next event. Its a massive backward step.

    Hate this new version.

There is still a list view. Tap the magnifying glass in the upper right corner.

Well I don't feel like a complete idiot...but I am super happy the list view still exists! But what a stupid place to put it.  Bah.

    Ps thanks Meg St. Clair!

Glad it helped a little. And yes, it's somewhat non-obvious.
