Q: Does anyone else find irritation that a great feature like airdrop can't exchange files between iOS and OS X?  Might as well have a PC and WinPhone!!  (I didn't really mean that...)

I really want to simply drop files to my ipad from MacBook or IMac and vice versa.  as a workaround I'm using dropbox, which is suitable, but not ideal.  The only electronics in my house that are not made by apple are the ones apple doesn't make yet (looking forward to the iWash-Dish Pro).  I assumed iOS 7 would give me better integration across devices than it has...will Mavericks fix this?

We are forbidden to speculate on what features Apple may or may not introduce in the future.

But histoically, Apple has introduced some features and later improved on them.  One example that comes to mind is the MacBook Air's Thunderbolt port, which was originally introduced as a video port enhancement.

Anyway, iOS 6 had nothing resembling AirDrop, so any progress in that direction with iOS 7 is a gain.
