Oct 12, 2013 3:47 AM in response to Immortal1by daphniepy,Yeah....same here. Mine is iPhone5 with iOS 7 previously working great for the notification of friends leaving and arriving, after an update for the app, the notification no longer available on my phone....idk why is that so, I've tried deleted the app, reinstall, but still the same. I don't know whether is it a bug or sth....hopefully there is a fix for this app.

Oct 12, 2013 9:41 AM in response to Immortal1by CampoDeSuenos,I have this issue as well, works fine showing locations but 'notify me' doesn't work at all. I have a feeling that apple just needs to update the app making it compatible with iOS 7. Apperantly they didn't give it the makeover they gave the rest of their apps, it still looks like an iOS 6 app.

Oct 14, 2013 11:03 PM in response to Immortal1by jboehm,Really annoying problem with FMF in iOS7. For notify to work. FMF must be open and you must have the Multitasking enabled. If you kill FMF notiy stops working. THIS IS A BUG!!

Oct 25, 2013 2:01 PM in response to Immortal1by Aeroscout,I'm on iPhone 4s and notifications don't with my families three iPhones that we upgraded(?) to iOS 7. Used to work fine under iOS 6. Crud.

Oct 30, 2013 1:47 PM in response to Immortal1by 29bde,I have the same problem here with iPhone 5, iPhone 4 and iPad 2. All devices were working perfectly wth iOS 6 but since we upgraded all our devices within the family ,the FMF notifications are not working. I am not reminded if my son leaves the school or my wife arrives at the gym.
This is annoying. Any news on this or workarounds?

Oct 30, 2013 1:58 PM in response to 29bdeby Immortal1,I have not found or heard of any workarounds. And even if I keep the app open, I still don't receive notifications. Hopefully Apple will take notice of this some time soon.

Oct 30, 2013 2:13 PM in response to Immortal1by 29bde,This was my last hope. But that sounds that it does not worth trying it on my own. I read that there are similar issues with location based reminders. I really hope Apple is fixing this very soon.

Oct 30, 2013 2:24 PM in response to Immortal1by ChrisJ4203,★HelpfulNo one here would know if they are aware of it and working on it. This is a user to user forum and Apple does not participate here. Apple gets their feedback about problems here: www.apple.com/feedback and then click on the appropriate link. This is the only way they would know there is a problem.
I have read a number of posts regarding location based reminders and geofencing. While I do not use it normally, I would think that if they are made aware of it, they should be working on a fix.

Oct 30, 2013 3:04 PM in response to Immortal1by jjcos,I have this problem too. iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.3, not getting alerts like I was in iOS 6 (iPhone 5). I can set the 'notify me' as normal, however I never get any alerts. Tried multiple times, under different scenarios, no joy. I notice the 'location services' arrow at the top of the display is on a lot, and the 'find friends' app has been using locations services recently (hollow purple arrow). I got from iOS 6 to 7.0.3 via a series of updates, doubt this is relevant though. John - Ireland

Nov 8, 2013 1:59 AM in response to Immortal1by RooniePants,I think I fixed the problem!!!
I had this problem too. After some trial and error I discovered that background app refresh must be turned on -- on both phones (my phone and the phone sending the notifications). I had switched this off because I heard it helps to save battery life.
To turn background app refresh on, go to Settings...general...background app refresh... turn background app refresh on and make sure find friends is also on.

Nov 8, 2013 8:22 AM in response to RooniePantsby TheSubmariner,Regretfully, this still does not make it work... It was one of the FIRST steps that I did (background app refresh)

Nov 8, 2013 8:31 AM in response to RooniePantsby Immortal1,Both our phones had this feature enabled already, so unfortunately this is not a fix for us.

Nov 8, 2013 8:33 AM in response to TheSubmarinerby 29bde,Apparently you need to have the FMF app running in the background. On my phone it's not enough only to enable the backgroud refresh - as long as the app stays in background it's working. As soon as I kill the app via multitasking it's not working. Unfortunately the one who "sends" the geofencing needs to do that - not the recipient.
