Oct 15, 2013 9:04 AM in response to halleywalleyby pvonk,Are you saying that
General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion to ON
has not helped? It's an option on my iPhone 4s.

Oct 15, 2013 11:27 AM in response to halleywalleyby deggie,★HelpfulDo you have a 4s or an iPhone 4? Sounds like you have a 4 which means you don't have the parallax view, etc.
Tell Apple you would like an option to turn the animations off: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Oct 15, 2013 11:27 AM in response to halleywalleyby adolfgarlic,I thought the 'reduce motion' option was only available if the parallax effect was supported on your device
i.e. if you can't set it, then it's not actually moving anything anyway
Just like you also can't see airdrop because it doesn't support it

Oct 15, 2013 12:24 PM in response to deggieby halleywalley,I thought I had a 4s, but I just looked up the model number--alas, it is a 4. You are correct. So apparently I don't have the parallax view. But it doesn't matter! The operating system is still a disaster for me--the zooming in and out of icons is giving me migraines. It's a nightmare to think that if I had a later phone, the parallax animation would make matters even worse.
Thanks for the clarification.
I rue the day I upgraded. There's no way to downgrade, right? Am I left with no alternative but to switch hardware?
I did send a feedback form to Apple, by the way.

Oct 15, 2013 12:26 PM in response to halleywalleyby deggie,I'd at least wait until Apple does the first major update of the OS and see if they reduce or allow disabling of the animations. If you do decide to switch make sure to try before you buy.
