Thanks a lot for posting the workaround. It works for me on Skype, but in my company we use LYNC (from Microsoft) for online meetings and the iSight camera on my MacBook Air Mid-2013 still does not work.

Any other suggestions? I'm struggling without the camera for the several meetings I attend every week.

The error message I get when launching a meeting in LYNC Version 14.0.0 (110823) is:

" Your webcam is not available. Make sure that your webcam is correctly configured and is not being used by another application. Then start the call again."

And there is no other application using the camera running at the same time.

OMG Thank you so so much, it was driving me crazy! I downloaded the plugin from the link you provided (did not have time machine) and it worked like a charm!

    Hi Leandro,

I have the same problem. I think it is related to the Mac Lync software. As with your case, Skype works for me, but the company Lync does not. However, when I run the Lync client for Windows (with Parallels and Windows7) I can use the camera! I guess Microsoft owes us a Lync Mac client update to solve this problem.

I don't know what I've done wrong but this isn't working for me.

If replacing "Macintosh HD/Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/AppleCamera.plugin" has not worked to resolve this issue, I would recommend:

    - Remove "Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/iMovie*" (* - wildcard)

Note: Most systems will not have anything labeled iMovie, but a migration from an older system may

    - Drag /Applications/iMovie.app to Trash

    - APP STORE: Purchases tab, Install iMovie

I have confirmed that this will fix the issue, no need to download a replacement plugin to resolve the iMovie issue.

    Regards, Drew
