Itunes Radio explicit block not working
Is anyone else finding that the explicit block isn't working? Simply trying the itunes top 100 channel always seems to have songs with the profanity even with explicit off.
Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), MP2.1

We are having this problem also. The "Allow explicit" is turned on for iTunes Radio and it's still playing explicit songs. We recently switched from Pandora where we didn't have this problem at all.
We also set a strict setting within iTunes Preferences by going to the “Parental” settings panel and toggling the Restrict settings box for “Music with explicit content”.

Where are you finding the settings to "Allow Explicit" for iTunes Radio? I can'f find the settings but if you have "Allow..." set to "On" that would mean you would get explict content.
It is a slide button on the right side of itunes when you are in itunes Radio.
I suspect this was a typo where off meant on.
There is no "slide button" in the Music app. Are you talking about iTunes on your computer? If so, you may want to post in the iTunes forum for whichever operating system you use. You're more likely to get assistance. This is the iPhone forum.
Best of luck.
In the iPhone iTunes Radio, when you're looking at the Now Playing screen with the music controls and album art, there will be a circled "i" above the album art. Tap that and you'll see some options, including a slider for "Allow Explicit Tracks." Make sure it's set to grey (not green) to censor your tracks.
Here's what's happening...
Some songs with foul language are not specifically marked as "Explicit" in iTunes, therefore they will not be filtered even with the slider set to the off position in iTunes Radio.
A perfect example of one such song that I've noticed is Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons...
I hope this cleared things up for you guys.
I have "Allow Explict" turned "off" - so I am NOT allowing explict. How can a song like Omar LinX - Who Are You to Judge not be marked explict? You'd have to be deaf!
Itunes radio block solved.
First go to settings>cellular.. turn off the music app.
This will block cellular data going to the music app.
Next go to your router's webpage and block itunes.apple.com
This will block wifi data going to the music app.
The explicit restriction doesn't work very well and the profane
words were still being heard by my children on their iphone.
I thank God he helped me figure this out
I'm having the same problem. Currently there is no way to block inappropriate content on 'Apple Radio' which is contained in the Apple Music App. I submitted a feedback comment to Apple, and I'm on hold right now talking with Apple support (iTunes Division).
I hope the parent community and the educational community could pressure Apple to allow us to either block inappropriate songs/audio on Apple Radio or just block Apple Radio all together. I have been on hold with Apple support for a while. Maybe if enough parents or educators called Apple support a lot, then maybe they would do something about this.
