Oct 19, 2010 11:07 AM in response to ugadawgs311by wjosten,The only way to get itunes content on your new phone is by syncing or manually managing songs & videos through itunes. You can sync as many devices as you want to the same itunes account, there is no limit. Unless you created playlists(smart idea), then you have no choice but to go through itunes & select the content you want on your new phone or if you have checked "Sync only checked songs & videos". From your post I'm guessing you have "manually manage music & videos" checked, correct? If so, you should be aware of the fact that there is absolutely no advantage to doing so with an iphone. Unlike disk wheel ipods, the iphone does not support disk mode. Thus, you're better off creating playlists & syncing those to your phone. -
Oct 19, 2010 11:08 AM in response to wjostenby ugadawgs311,I was afraid that would be the case. I will probably just go through all my songs in iTunes and make a playlist of my favorite ones (maybe just make a playlist based on rankings) so then if this ever happens again, all I have to do is copy the playlist over and not reselect all the songs. Will that work? -

I manage two iphones, an ipod touch and two ipods using playlists. It really simplifies things. -
Oct 19, 2010 11:12 AM in response to ugadawgs311by wjosten,Yes. Like I said, IMO, the easiest way to manage music & videos on the iphone is to create playlists. You can add/subtract from the playlists whenever you want. No benefit whatsoever to manually managing music & videos since the phone does not support disk mode, & you have to sync everything else. -
Oct 19, 2010 11:14 AM in response to wjostenby ugadawgs311,Ok, so I should just set up my iPhone to sync with only certain playlists and not the whole library? I'm sure there is an option for that in iTunes but I don't have my Macbook with me right now. -

Oct 19, 2010 11:17 AM in response to ugadawgs311by wjosten,Yes, put a check in the box labeled "Sync only checked songs & videos", remove the check in the box labeled "Manually manage music & videos"(this will delete all content on your phone, but don't panic, we'll add it back by selecting the playlists). Then create your various playlists, select only those you want on your phone under the music tab. -

One of my friends have encountered such problem. He was recommended to use iPhone Transfer tool. And finally, it worked well. Here I share the tutorial with u : http://www.transfer-iphone-recovery.com/transfer-music-photo-from-iphone-to-ipho ne.html

Oct 16, 2013 7:25 PM in response to ugadawgs311by Gyayooo,The best way is to use iTunes or iCloud. Follow these steps to back up your previous device and then restore the backup to your newly purchased device. Your saved messages, email accounts, photos, notes, and other personal settings will be transferred to your new device, if you need to copy data from other's iPhone, you have to try some third party app like Vibosoft: http://www.vibosoft.com/ipad--iphone-ipod-to-computer-transfer.html
