Oct 17, 2013 6:31 AM in response to MollyDBby ds store,That's called a Kernel Panic and it's usually caused by third party software that requires updating or uninstalling according to the developers instructions.
How to uninstall/install software on your Mac
If you paste this into Terminal and press return, it will tell you your third party kext files and likely one of them is the culprit. (does not work in Safe Mode)
kextstat -kl | awk ' !/apple/ { print $6 } ' | open -f -a TextEdit
You need to restart, panic report assistance
Sometimes the KP can be caused by OSX being corrupted or a hardware issue. See the Step by Step at the link above for narrowing it down.

Oct 17, 2013 6:59 AM in response to ds storeby MollyDB,Thanks. This is helpful. I am running disk utility now and the first error that came up was that permissions differ on a usr. That might be the big problem right?
I also haven't down a Software Update in a while so I am going to do that tonight.
When I put your link into the Terminal and hit return, nothing happened.
I actually think the problem is an G-3 plug in to my computer. It hasn't happened a lot but this could be the problem
Any thoughts?

Not really.

You have no at boot kexts, so that's good. So it seems to be a issue with a program or OS X, or hardware.

Continue with the process of elimination. this will help.
