Own desktop, laptop and HP printer.  All work well but, cannot print any document from word.  Can print from other various places within computer, just not word.  HP technical support confused and suggested apple support.

What happens when you select File > Print?

Apple Support isn't likely to be able to provide much assistance with a Microsoft product. Have you contacted Microsoft Support?

What I meant was what happens when you select File > Print while using Microsoft Word? Does the standard Print dialog not appear?

Thanks, I understand that Word's Print dialog appears, that you can select Print, after which the Print dialog disappears, the printer responds and feeds paper, but nothing appears on the printed page. Is that correct?

In that case check the options in Word's Print dialog, and be sure you did not select a range of text or pages to print that happen to be blank. You may need to select an option in that dialog to reveal additional printing details specific to your printer. Also, be sure the text format you're using isn't changing its color to something essentially invisible: look in Word's Format menu.

It's also possible that a recent HP printer driver update for your printer isn't compatible with the version of Word you're using.
