No direct experience, but I have spoken at lengths with ADIC regarding StorNext on Linux and any interopability issues. As you may or may not know, XSan is essentially the ADIC product recompiled for OSX (Apple engineers are responsible for the build and packaging, ADIC just supplies the source). I don't see that there would be any issues - I'm currently running 40 XSan servers right now, so I know that the scalability issues have finally been sussed out. Interopability is unverified in my book.1,750 clustered XServe G5s, Mac OS X (10.4.3), 2xDual 2.0Ghz G5 PowerMac, 2.0Ghz MacBook Pro

I know that Linux is supposed to work as well, but ADIC is having a lot of trouble with the 2.6 Kernel, specially when resharing the SAN via NFS. You should contact them first...

is it possible to tell how much did you pay for the SGI client license ?
We have some sgi's that we'd like to add to XSan
We bought a single StorNext FX license for unix, about 2K Euros for the license + VAT. Unfortunately the SGI can not NFS mount from OSX (a BSD Bug!) and therefore it was necessary. You still have to add the FC Card for the SGI...2 many 2 count, Mac OS X (10.4.5)
It run's great!
