I'm in the exact same scenario, brand new 27" iMac. Tried USB keyboard and mouse as well as wireless, still no response on the language screen. I've recreated the USB windows driver and ISO twice with no prevail.

I have seen a few others now with this problem, but no real solutions.
I contacted apple care, and after running me through the same fixes I had already tried, they suggested that I contact Microsoft. I guess that the thought is that it's an issue with the Windows 7 install program not recognizing the BlueTooth. This doesn't make any sense to me, but I might as well try it.
I will update if I ever discover a solution. Please let me know if you are able to resolve the problem.

Sorry for my English.
I think Windows 7 can´t work with USB 3.0 at installation. I have same problem with a new iMac. I must try to install Windows 8, with native USB 3.0 even installation.
It´s only a hint

Thank you for the response. I appreciate the input.
I have seen a few sites that mentioned that Windows 7 is not compatable with USB 3.0. However, I have not seen an explaination as to why the BlueTooth mouse/keyboard are affected. If you have any thoughts on this, please let me know.

Well' I'm not really sure how, but it is working now. I found this article:
I followed the instructions a few times without sucess, then suddenly it worked! I guess it needed to warm up...
Anyway, if anyone it interested the issue is solved.
