It's been 1.5 years since I am using it. Normally I would see 3% battery drain overnight but since last month or so iPhone's battery drains so fast. It happens during the day too. Does it mean the battery is dying?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3

    Hi harsh747,

The article below will give you some troubleshooting steps to follow if your battery life seems short:

    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting

The portion of the article that speaks to your specific issue is:

    Battery life seems short

    1. Click ( www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html) for tips on how to prolong iPhone's battery life.
    2. Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
    3. Connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.
    4. If the screen shows a low-battery image, the battery is low on power and needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it.
    5. When charging iPhone, make sure to leave it charging until it is fully charged. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen looks like this Full battery with outlet image inside it..
Note: When charging using a computer, don't connect iPhone to a keyboard. Also, the computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPhone battery may drain.

Note: Charging with a FireWire-based power source is not supported, except on original iPhone.

The first link in the troubleshooting guide gives you some tips on how to optimize your settings to improve the battery life.

I hope this information helps ...

I Tried everything I could find and the only solution I can see is Apple finding the problem and fix it.Until then I am back to Android and Samsung Galaxy S 3.

I went to sleep last night with my battery at 43%. I woke up to 14% and decided to look up this issue. I found myself, here, at this thread. I rebooted my iPhone, holding both the sleep/wake/power and home buttons. Upon restart, it says my battery is actually at 41%, only a 3% drop.
