So Apple, if this is a ploy to force upgrades to newer iPads, then this is a floored strategy, you are simperly going to loses market share due to a making the final iOS for this device a bad apple.
My original iPad is running strong. No issues whatsoever. But you might check the app inventory and see if there is an app that may not be fully compatably with the earlier version of iOS you run on the iPad.
What's a "floored strategy"?

Mine crashes all the time in Safari and Facebook. Both are at the latest levels for ios 5.1.1. Was there any other fixes? Did you solve your problem?
