updating managed settings when logging in

I am having issues with logging into a machine as a local network user after upgrading to server 3.0. No matter which user I try to log in with, I get a popup box that says "updating managed settings". I have no managed settings set in profile manager except messages I have checked the profiles and both the trust and settings for everyone profile has been added. It takes a long time for the users to log in and out of the machines. Anyone have any idea what this is and how to make this stop and speed up the login and logout times? I am using new iMacs that have been upgraded to Mavericks as the client machines and a Mac Mini server with Mavericks and Server 3.

Figured it out. I had to delete all my profiles on the clients and re-download them again.

Is anyone eles seeing this as well? I have updated a test client and it hangs for about 1 minute at each login if offline or connected to a different network. I have as you suggested removed the profiles and re-enrolled but still seeing the same. In the log I get:

10/23/13 1:11:03.281 PM mdmclient[160]: [Agent:278695560] Processing pre-login MDM check for: 278695560

I'm fine with disabling the pre-login check (since we push anyways), but I don't seem to see that setting. We have *not* yet upgraded to Server 3 - these are Server 2 profiles generated with ProfileManager. Thoughts anyone?

I am not on a network - single user on a new Macbook Air. I keep getting the "updating system settings" at each log in, takes about 3 minutes to log in, and my desktop picture reverts to the Mavericks default each time.

Anyone have a solution?

Thanks.
