Many of us are in the same boat.
My question is a little broader, but I think it might help you to continue your question in this thread I started earlier.

Since Apple change the discussion "Search" method of their website, I can't seems to find anything.
I use to be able to select which discussion I want to search in, now, it seems it always end-up searching everywhere and because of the tons of false positive, I stop searching.
Is there a document that would help me do a better search with this new search engine ?

it just takes extra steps to limit to where, when, and the user, and rather than start with limited search to where you are, you have to research.
Google or Bing often if you just add couple keywords like "Mac Pro" "Communities" "Apple" and then Thunderbolt.
Always check OWC for products. Sonnettech.com has some good ones and more coming.
