I'm having some matching issues in that a song I ripped from my own purchased CD is matching to the instrumental version, so all of my cloud devices play the instrumental version. Senior tech support wants me to remove the song from my library and add it back, in hopes that adding it again will have it match to the right song.

Is there any way to do this WITHOUT actually removing it from my library? I don't want to lose my playcount for the song if I can help it, especially considering most of the time things they have you try end up not working anyway.

I guess my alternative is to adjust the playcount of the song after I add it back to my library, I just haven't had much success with using scripts to change playcounts when using iTunes Match. Match always overwrites my changes and forces the playcount back to what it thinks it should be, overwriting what I changed it to.
