Just downloaded Mavericks and was really interested in the new location options available in calendar. I travel a lot for work and visit different schools every day. I don't have any of the schools in my contacts as there's no need but wanted a way of seamlessly having the map location and travel time on my calendar. Previously I have done this manually by entering the address from google and then the travel time from google maps online.

Basically my question is, is there a way of just typing a postcode in to a calendar appointment and have it show you the location and travel time? it works fine if i just type the postcode in to maps and send directions to my phone but hoped this would be more automated and easier.

It seems that you have to enter at least a street and and a city. If you enter only a postcode, the calender app will try to find a contact in your addressbook that matches.

LOL, Thats great for instance where I live has no road name, and when I use my address via contacts doesnt want to know, instead goes to a wrong address, if I put full address in maps it goes to wrong address, if just put postcode it goes to correct address.

Hopefully and I am sure they will iron out the glitches as this will be extremly important and useful for me, they need to priortise to postcode if not found, type routine.

Same issue here, but different question (just created a new thread). Does the "add location" field in Calendar only work for Contacts? It seems I can't type in a business name and have it link, even though I can do that in the Maps application.
