Oct 24, 2013 5:45 PM in response to Chris T Millerby taintworkin,IF that doesnt work try:
Home folder permissions on my account had been set to Read Only for the owerner (how does the owner get set to Read Only, makes little sense for such a need however it is a computer)
Settting permissions back to Read and Write and applying them down fixed all my problems. Everything now is working as it was before the upgrade to Mavericks.

Oct 25, 2013 4:42 AM in response to Chris T Millerby DallasTexasAggie,Before I copied, erased and reinstalled my fonts, and even though I the font I was using for my Keynote Presentation (Century Schoolbook) was listed in the program's drop down menu, I first checked to see if the font was in the Fonts folder; It was not. Also, the problem with the screwed up font happened AFTER I installed Maverick but BEFORE I updated iWork applications, so I knew that the problem was with my Maverick upgrade. I found a free version of Century Schoolbook on the web (http://www.fontspace.com/category/century%20schoolbook), and downloaded it. I did have to rename all four of the font files after I downloaded because the file names were different (Since Century Schoolbook is the name of the font in the menu, I figured that the name needed to be exact for Keynote to find it again). I restarted my computer (not sure that I really needed to, but when in doubt) and after a quick prayer, I opened Keynote up again, and the file, and it was back!

Oct 29, 2013 3:26 PM in response to dmodeby Goody64,I tried every solution suggested for fixing the iWorks/Pages/Keynote/Numbers crashing issue. Nothing worked despite all the things I deleted, uninstalled, or changed, or how many times I restarted my Mac after each of them. Finally I called Apple support. My 2009 iMac 27" is long out of warranty. But I was willing to pay $19 if I had to, to have this issue resolved. So after an hour on the phone with the most helpful tech support person, it was fixed, on all three apps. I wish I could tell what the multiple steps were, but I was so intent on just following the instructions given to me, and doing what I was told, I have little recall of what we tried and didn't work, and what we tried that finally made the difference. I recommend that you all just bite the bullet and call Apple Support. It'll be worth your time, and your money if that's required for your machine. Go for it and get on with whatever you do on your Mac.

Jan 14, 2014 5:15 AM in response to Chris T Millerby Jo!,Well,
I hope you don't mind breaking in in this thread.
I tried the above sollution since iWorks '09 on Mavrics drives me crazy for not working!! (I made the mistake to update my business macbookpro to 10.9, think (as always) that an updat from Apple will be an improvement: NOT).
The given sollution does not work: no fonts are transported tot the folder 'Fonts (Removed)'.
I keep getting the same message (pasted below). I hope someone can help me here!
I think the core of the message is:
"Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: @rpath/SFCompatibility.framework/Versions/A/SFCompatibility
Referenced from: /Applications/iWork '09/Pages.app/Contents/MacOS/Pages
Reason: image not found"
I hope I did not post any sensitive info here (doe not look like it).
I have tried ecery trick I know, including reinstalling ML in a partition. Previous iWorks just worked. Now it does not work any longer.
Strange thing is that on my other mac it does. I took a different approach here: This was the first computer I tried 10.9 on, so, being cautious, I started with a partition, on which I installed 10.9. iWorks still works great on the (existing) partition of 10.8.x. version 4.0 works and version 4.3 doe not.
On the macbook neither works
Can someone help please?

Jan 14, 2014 5:21 AM in response to Jo!by fruhulda,You need iWork 9.3 on Mavericks. You might need to delete the Pages plist file. You might need to install iWork 09 again and do the updates. Updateis here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1563

Jan 14, 2014 2:31 PM in response to fruhuldaby Jo!,It took quite some time to test things but I can now review.
So far i did not manage to get pages 4.3 working on my macbook.
i did manage to make pages run better under maverics on my iMac. Your trick dit work her (sort of).
Somehow there must be something installed with maverics on the macbook that prevents it to run. this is odd really.
coming weekend I have my work cut out: reinstalling (total wipe) the macbook, starting with ML, and then a partition Mavrics. If this works, I'll do the process again and instal ML and upgrade to Mavrics (which is what it is supposed to be now)
