I have a purchased app with an available update which will not update.  I'm getting the error "An error has occurred."  When trying to Install, I get the message: (App) failed to download.  Use the Purchases page to try again.

 

I've found multiple notes in the community about possible resolutions.  So far, I've tried:

 

  • Sign out/in, retry
  • Sign out/in, reset warning messages
  • I've uninstalled the app, then tried a fresh install

 

None of these seem to work, and I've tried each multiple times, and none seem to work.

    I had a similar issue with iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand.

     

    I had the retail-box versions of iLife '11 installed but was also eligible to the App Store version (I bought a Mac in 2012 and iLife cama as an App Store download).

     

    I could not download the new versions ..until I had trashed the installed apps.

    I've also uninstalled the app, but still no luck.
