Hi & Help!

I recently upgraded my OS from 10.6.8 to 10.8.5, but am having problems getting my MG6150 to work correctly after the change. I've seen other posts so knew to get the latest drivers, however I'm still having problems scanning/printing wirelessly from my iMac (a Windows7 netbook and Windows8 desktop have no such problems on the same wireless network).

I've been working with Canon support, but so far the issue has not been resolved and after several suggestions they have concluded that it is an Apple problem, since the printer worked fine when the iMac was running 10.6.8 and the problems have only appeared since upgrading to 10.8.5.

Specifically it takes about 10 minutes to scan a single page (either using MP Navigator 4.0.3 & ScanGear [I'm in the UK] or using image capture). Printing can also be a problem as I eventually managed to scan a document (a 2 MB pdf file when saved), but on trying to print it from my iMac after 2 minutes printing terminated about 90% through the page, the paper remained in the printer and I saw the following message: 'Support code: 306 A communication error has occurred. Make sure that the printer is plugged in, powered down and properly connected to your computer. Then try printing again.'

E-mailing the same file to the Windows8 PC and printing wirelessly from that on to the same MG6150 produced a full page in 10 seconds.

Has anyone in the UK managed to get an MG6150 working 'normally' on a wireless network under OS X 10.8.5 and, if so, how did you do it?

Many thanks in advance for any help/advice offered.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
