Q: ios 7  push notifications not working

I just got bit by this bug when upgrading my iPhone to 7.0.3. I fixed the problem by setting up the iCloud Keychain (didn't do it after the upgrade) and rebooting the iPhone. Now I regret not having tried to reboot the device before anything else. Have any of you tried that ?

Anyway, I disabled icloud keychain again and it still works. Seems like the device just has to reauthenticate with icloud in some way or another. Hope this helps someone.

Edit: I got that idea from another post somewhere saying that disabling the icloud keychain fixed the problem. Since it wasn't enabled on my phone, I tried enabling it which apparently works as well.

All this is an unacceptable use of time and effort for a product that we have paid for. I buy a toaster and it doesnt work I take it back to the store and they fix or replace it. I dont get on a dicussiion forum which tells me how to spend 4 hours taking it apart to fix it myself.

I have a iPhone 4 and i do the next, maybe can help

Go to settings>itunes store & appstore>logout from the account

Turn off and turn on the idevice

Again, go to settings>itunes store & appstore>login

It works without a restoration.

@ Tannaahides,  Sorry - I havent been following this thread for a while. Did you get your phone fixed ?  I repeat, I am NOT an Apple specialist or anything but I will hlep if I can - reply if you still want help.

@ ClionaM,  Sorry - I lost track of this thread.  Really not sure what has happenned there - as I say, I am not an Apple expert on anything but I will try to help you if I can.  it has been a while - have you got it sorted ? Drop back if you would like me to try to see what is going on.

I tried your fix yesterday and it didn't work, however after trawling the internet and trying all sorts of things I came back here and decided to give your fix another go and today it worked like a charm

Worked for me too.

To fix this issue without reset:

- go to Settings

- iTunes & App Store

- tap on Apple ID

- Sign Out

- reboot the iPhone pressing for some seconds both Home button and Block button

- turn on again the iPhone with Home button

- go back in Settings / iTunes & App Store and Sign In again

It works!

Unfortunately for me I've tried everything mentioned in this thread, all to no avail. Logging out from facebook/AppleID, turning the device on and off, reinstalling the app, even restoring from backup. I'm kind hopeless at this point... Any other ideas?

Delete and re-install 'Find My Iphone' app, this fixed the errors with Facetime, iMessage and Push Notifications.

This fixed three iphone devices that was experiencing these problems within my organisation.
