If are within the 14 day timeframe, consider a full refund. Then you may purchase it later or seek an alternative.

I have the same problem. It happend 2 times (with the brand new macbook), keyboard and trackpad responsiveness.
And if I enter console mode, every time I write something it shows that message.
The USB device Apple Internal Keyboard / Trackpad (Port 5 of Hub at 0x14000000) may have caused a wake by issuing a remote wakeup (2).
Any solution, or just ask for a new one? Maybe is a bug in all of them.

3 freezes over two days of use, all freezes happened when safari was open
my bet goes that it is issue with new power management features, when u are not using your keyboard and or trackpad. it disables trackpad and keyboard, and at some ocasions it fails to resume them when u touch them

This Apple article may help you -
"If you experience this issue, reset the keyboard and trackpad by closing the computer’s display for approximately one minute and then open it."
Best of luck.
