You've probably tried these already.
Check the cpu and energy tabs to find out what processes are sucking up power as a first clue. Second, you can try an SMC reset if something is severely off and the fan is running hard. Third, check screen brightness is the same as it was before.
I've found better battery performance on a 2010 Macbook Air.

I have checked the energy tabs and processes and the brightness was slightly bright during my lectures. And I use Safari and Apple says that it's more power effiecient, but it still decreases faster than ML. I have not done an SMC because I don't know what that is. I would apprieciate it if you would. And thanks for answering quick.
